Past Show Report—India Trade Promotion Organisation organised 16th edition of International Leather Goods Fair ( ILGF ) in Netaji Indoor Stadium , Kolkata during February 19-21, 2011. The fair was organised in collaboration with Council for Leather Exports ( CLE ) and Indian Leather Products Association ( ILPA ) and supported by Government of West Bengal. The fair was inaugurated by Dr. Subas Pani, IAS, CMD, ITPO along with in presence of Shri D. Mukhopadhyay, IAS, Additional Chief Secretary, Commerce and Industries Department, Government of West Bengal

A total of 52 companies from India including one company from abroad participated in the 16th edition of the fair. Of these 50 exhibitors represented the leather goods sector showcasing a wide range of products such as hand bags, wallets, portfolios etc. The fair was visited by 62 overseas buyers from 17 countries like USA, UK, Italy, Spain, Canada, Australia, Japan, Singapore, Denmark, Greece, Germany etc. Besides, a large number of business visitors and agents of buying houses from India were also visited this fair. A cultural/social evening was organized to facilitate interaction among buyers and exhibitors. A fashion show highlighting the latest trends, colours and products of leather goods also was organized on the sidelines of the fair.
